Does anyone know where I could get a ring mechanism repaired? It's for an inexpensive binder ordered from Amazon and the rings don't close properly. The vendor refunded my money and let me keep the binder so if it's not too expensive to do, I wouldn't mind getting it fixed.
Dear Filofax: Many, many people are in search of your classic and incredibly well made Winchester model of 30 years ago. The indispensable, sturdy, and well made binder that put Filofax on the map.
Currently, used ones are selling for as much as £400 on eBay!
Please oh please make the Winchester again, even just as a Limited Edition, with 25mm and 30mm rings. I can guarantee they will fly off the shelves or through mail order! We love ring protectors, the non-riveted ring mount, the thick, textured leather that lasts forever! And possibly new colours, or at least 1 or 2 unique, professional colours to appeal to the much neglected male fan and those of us that like the classic, luxe and discreet look?
My 80s Winchesters are still in use and in great shape, even after using one or two of them daily since 1986!
Hope you will at least consider doung it, even in limited numbers.
Hi guys, I'm working with the source file for the Monthly view on 2 pages, but there is a part missing about the next month. I love to play with the layout some more before merging, otherwise I would have used the completed version (and I'm working for 2016). Thanks in advance!
It was for the personal size, from http://philofaxy.blogspot.com/2012/03/download-source-files-for-new-monthly.html. I did not change anything yet. The second month is missing in the Excel sheet. Unfortunately, I suck at Excel with complicated formulas.

ReplyDeleteWhat kind of ring system is it?

Thank you!
It looks like the new Heritage model being released this year is very similar to the Winchester - at least on the outside!
DeleteEva I'm desperate to find photos of the Heritage, can you please direct me?
DeleteI don't know - just ordinary rings like in an A5 Filofax. What should I be looking for?
ReplyDeleteHave you tried this: http://philofaxy.blogspot.com/2015/08/fixing-ring-gaps.html
DeleteNo, I hadn't. I'll give it a go. Thanks very much, Steve.

Which size? and which paper size? Although I think they all use the same file. Can you send me your two source files so I can see what has happened?
