  1. Following one of the Reddit links, I found this post, on the different pen grips used. I often see the 'power grip' used in US media. It always looks clumsy and 'claw-like' to me.

    As a lefty, I get puzzled by comments about smudging; I have never had this problem, but I can imagine doing so with the 'power grip'. Escher's 'Drawing Hands' illustrates an artist who didn't seem to have his talent hindered by lacking the range of movement the power grip proponents seem to claim...
