The Organiser of Dreams?

Do you believe in fairy god mothers? No... I thought not.... but let us just pretend for a moment that they exist.

Let us say you could be granted to have the ring organiser of your dreams made for you, or may be a limited number of them made to your design. What would it look like?

Would you take an old design and bring it up to date? Or replicate an old design? How about a modern twist on a duplex ring design?

  1. The Temperley Affair is the perfect binder with the exception of rings - give me 30mm and I'd die happily.

  2. I totally agree with Janine. The Temperley Affair is definitely the one that I would nominate for a revamp remake. The rings are far too small you can only hold the basic essential leaves inside of it, however I like the fact you have on the left hand side the note book which hides away the amble credit card / business card slots. However, my only issue other than the ring size is the lace covering... I am petrified that my bracelet or ring will accident tear the lovely lace. I would fancy a nice soft leather version. Finally, because I change my FFs often depending on my mood I'd ensure that all FF come with dust bag because it's a pain having to clean near the rings and all the nooks etc :-)

  3. I'd love an A5 double Filofax, similar to the rare one made by Mulberry several years ago. I saw it on Janet Carr's website. Two banks of 30mm or bigger would be great.

  4. A slimline Baroque with 19mm rings. Rest of the insides the same.

  5. Holborn personal, love the leather & pockets, just needs bigger rings.

  6. I would be tempted to cross the line of illegality for a 6-ring personal-double-width Deskfax

  7. I don't need to design a thing - I'd just order one of the Longchamp/LV binders Janet designed from VDS!

    1. Well, I just joined the vdS Club too! as I finally received several custom ordered binders on Monday.......

Beautiful looking (Brandy Italian leather outside), beautifully crafted, and very functional too with large rings, secretarial pocket in front, and wider/extra pen loops......

      Planner heaven right now.....

      ;-)

  8. I am loving my compact VDS! It's perfect! I am thinking, however, of buying a regular personal size of the same binder and maybe another compact in another color. But that is all in the future...

  9. 30mm rings minimum, secretarial pockets both sides with lots of card slots, a big back pocket, personal size, quality leather, lightly structured, two elastic pen loops, snap closure, gold hardware, black outside and brown inside. In other words, a 30mm standard VDS with black Janet leather outside, original Janet Leather inside with Janet's un-dyed binder's layout, Bontex, gold hardware and a big back pocket.

  10. A Personal sized planner that opened up to reveal A5 sized pages. A Tardist planner if you will.

Fortunately, companies esp. Van der Spek are helping to make our dreams become a reality :)
