  1. Which wears better for a mini--finsbury or kendal? I'll be using this as a wallet. Thanks for the input!

    1. As I know, I can recoment to use finsbury, it has back wide open pocket, and kendal is littlt thick to use as wallet I think.

    2. For a tough, hard-wearing wallet/ organiser Hampstead, Kendal and Ranger are all hard to beat models.

    3. Suejeong--I sure appreciate that! My only worrry? I'm just afraid the finsbury leather is too thin and won't last for another 20 years. Believe it or not, I'm a 'one Filofax' kinda gal. But I do appreciate knowing about the pocket issue. I'm in the US, so I use more bills then coins.
Tim--thanks for suggesting the Ranger. Can you read my question I posted below?

  2. Also, does anyone know if the Hampstead came in the mini size? I've heard it came in the pocket size but it's not on the Philofaxy Size Guide list.

    1. Pocket, Personal and A5 - all in brown. Ring sizes were 15, 23 and 30 respectively.

    2. Tim,
Thanks for the information. Did the Ranger happen to come in a mini? I think I'm going to be on the hunt for a mini Kendal...Sure appreciate your help!

    3. Jane - the Ranger was a tough, plastic, leather-look organiser. I think it only ever came in pocket and personal.

  3. Are there any personal size apart from Malden and Siena in ochre/cinnamon/tan colour? (Asked on FB group but thought I'd try here too)

    1. Le Cuban en couleur noisette. Personnellement, je le trouve très beau, j'en rêve!!!
      Bonne recherche.

  4. Does the Cotton Cream FF paper have less bleed through than the standard FF paper? Any recommendations for good quality non-FF paper that can cope with a rnage of pens, typically gel and fountain inks?

    1. The cotton cream is better, not good. If you're willing to cut it yourself, try Rhodia. If you want precut and don't mind a width difference, Franklin Covey paper is much better.

    2. It depends on the nib size. I use an F nib, and there's absolutely no bleed through. But a bigger nib will certainly do. And the bigger the nib, the longer it takes for the the ink to dry on the cotton cream paper.

But I don't see any problem with other pens...

    3. thank you both! Will try the CC first and be on the look out for Franklin Covey paper to try (have some Rhodia already that I could cut to size).

  5. Hi! I would like to know how to clean the inside leather of DECO? And what is the best leather cream for Filofax?

  6. Hi,
I'm at the very beginning of trying to set up my personal size filofax. I may decide to change the divider labels a few times, depending on what works. Can anyone suggest the best way of labelling dividers so they can be re-named, without messing up the actual card itself.

    1. Hi Kirsty - Dymo Letratag using plastic labelling is what I've found to be best. You can use various fonts and styles and the labels are easy to peel off (with care) and start again when you change your system - which you will. If you've got plastic dividers (as used with the Filofax Time Management system - or make your own from cheap A4/ Letter size divider sets) then these will last a lot longer than the standard card ones.

Enquire amongst friends to see who has got a Dymo. Let us know how your new organiser goes!

    2. Ty for the info and advice. I don't know anyone who has one of these but it might be worth investing in one for other labelling purposes as well.

I'll post photos on my newly started blog page, if/when the littlies ever allow me more than two mins of free time
