Free For All Friday No. 279

I am very pleased that Spring seems to have finally sprung in the UK. We went for a lovely walk this morning in the sun and I didn't even consider taking a coat. If I owned a larger Filofax collection, I would definitely be changing into something to reflect the new season, maybe a green or yellow to match the cheery daffodils that are popping up everywhere.
Do you change into a new binder to welcome Spring or any of the seasons?

And as always on Fridays, please feel free to discuss anything Filofax or other ring bound planner related. Have a great weekend.

  1. I think that it would be nice to change into a lighter color planner that suits spring or summer. I haven't bought any planners based on fashion, trend, or a seasonal color. However, for my next planner I may pick one that is a lighter color to match the warmer season. I am using my brown compact Luxe and it probably is dark for the spring. To add some color to my plain pages, I made some tear drop labels that are similar to the Martha Stewart ones. I used the 3" by 3" Post it full adhesive notes. I made tear drop and round labels.

  2. I avoid light coloured filos - with 3 kids they are a recipie for disaster! I do love greens though - my favourite was the emerald green Finsbury, I wish I had bought one at the time. That would be a perfect spring planner; I think Laurie has an A5 one I lust after every time I see a picture of it! I tend not to swap planners for colour reasons - more because the size or format is not working for me. I also don't decorate my pages (life is too busy!) but I sometimes change my front cover to reflect what's going on in my life - usually an inspiring image or quote that speaks to me.

  4. Perfect timing! I have just swapped out of a navy Portland into my pink Baroque because I needed a colour-pop! The Baroque is a fabulous pink - not to light/bright. Just gorgeous (And no... before you all start emailing me asking if I will ever sell it, the answer is still no. Nor the turquoise one!)

  6. No spring binders - but I have chosen some cheery floral card stock to make my own dividers for my new (and empty) A5 Ascot.

  9. I have just changed from my domino in ultra violet to my swift personal, a lovely green colour for spring and I have made new dividers with pastel coloured paper and stuck cute daffodil stickers onto my dashboard. I'm thinking of making some more dividers for the different seasons.

  10. I recently moved from my purple Original to my aqua Malden switching it up with the teal Baroque occasionally. Switched from plum desk Malibu to teal Malibu and using the mint pocket size kikki k as a wallet. Since Spring seems a ways off in these parts (Michigan), my switch was more driven by the desire for spring and my recent vacation in Cabo where the sea was a delicious turqoise and the sky was blue, blue, blue!

  11. I have been waiting for a FFAF to post about the pocket/mini filos. I am sorry to break into the spring fever here :) Also, I don't work and use my mini as a wallet and keep shopping lists and other lists, addresses, medical info, credit cards and the wo2p just to record anything that I need to keep (like when I order something, til it arrives) and more things that I have done that what I need to do. :) I bought Metropols first to see if I could use such a small planner and I love them! I will save or hint for birthdays, Christmas or just because to start hunting the allusive ochre or scarlet Malden. I would love to hear from anyone that uses these small ones exclusively. Any bloggers out there or videos?

  12. Can somebody who uses a Flex as their main planner be considered a true Filofax user?
